Why we created the rock and roll carrier:
Our Carrier is specifically engineered to address the unique characteristics of recumbent tad pole and other adult trikes. These trikes bring great fun and extended comfort to a days ride, however those of us who own them know that they are not as easily transported as a 2 wheeled bicycle. Our unique carrier design greatly reduces the challenge and risk of injury of transporting your trike.
The problem we address:
Other carriers expect you to lift and position your trike onto their carrier. Due to the width and length of a typical trike this leads to very poor ergonomic reach and lift positions. A typical basic trike will weigh in at around 35 to 40 lbs, add paniers and some gear for another 10 to 20 lbs, if you have an etrike the motor and battery can add another 10 to 15 lbs. Its not uncommon to have a ride that weighs in between 50lb up to and over 75lbs. Industry safety standards would never endorse a single employee to lift and position an object like these trikes without an assisting device, or a second person, but they sell you the customer a carrier that could readily lead to injury from the terrible lifting positions they require.
How our carrier works:
Our tilting track bed allows for a roll-on roll-off loading of your trike. We use laws of physic and mechanical leverage that cause the track to tilt under regular forces of gravity. As you roll the trike along the track bed it naturally tilts between level and inclined states. No separate ramps to fiddle with, no motors and batteries to maintain.
Premium quality:
Our trike carriers are made from corrosion resistant materials to assure they can take adverse environments and still perform. We use structural aluminum, stainless steel fasteners and high-density UV resistant polyethylene components. The use of these high-grade materials provides a natural finish eliminating the need for coatings / paint or other finishes that can chip scratch, or blister over time.

When will they be available:
We expect to have our first finished product through its final testing early 1st quarter 2024 (customer field testing went well) and expect to have our production facility operating and have inventory available for spring-summer 2025; as of October 2024 we are still finalizing user instructions, assembly manuals, safety decals and labels, shipping cartons and verifying our production rates can meet expected demands. There are many indirect tasks needed to bring a product to market.
We will establish this page as an online store and may work with our local bike and trike shops to offer the product. Once we have developed our production facilities and processes we will be able to determine a fair market price and schedule for availability.
